Why does House Of Travel charge a booking fee?
To help operate the House Of Travel platform, we charge a booking fee for airfares booked on our website or via our call centre.
The House Of Travel booking fee enables us to bring you the very best airfares available every day, as well as the flexibility to House Of Travel one way and return fares on all of your favourite airlines to and from your destination.
In addition to maintaining our award-winning website, you have access to a number of free features associated with your booking including the free House Of Travel app & 24/7 customer support via our New Zealand-based call centre.
Online booking fees
We charge a booking fee per person every time a flight booking is confirmed. The amount of booking fee varies based on the destination the customer is travelling to. The exact amount of the booking fee
is displayed on the Traveller Details page before the customer confirms a booking.

Above online booking fees are non refundable and are charged per adult and child (there is no fee for infants).
The fee is the same for one way or return bookings.

Above offline booking fees are non refundable and above are in addition to any supplier charges.
*Cancellations - Where travel arrangements are cancelled for any reason, including for any event beyond our control (including in the event of any failure by a Supplier) then we will pay to you in full any refund received from the Supplier on your behalf. However, any refunds payable to you may not include commission paid by the Suppliers to us for services provided and any additional income earned in relation to the booking. Additional Principal cancellation fees may also apply. Where travel arrangements are cancelled for any reason prior to full payment being made, then any non-refundable deposits will also be forfeited.
Where you request a cancellation, this will be deemed to be an amendment to your booking and the above House of Travel Amendment fees will also apply.
